How Clexen works
Purpose: plain disclosures of how Clexen makes money, how Requests are matched and Quotes ordered, why Clexen shows no "verified" label, and what information about Partners Customers see and when. Clexen is a service business, not a seller, but it follows the transparency standards of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020 and the Dark Patterns Guidelines 2023, because transparency builds trust. Parties: Clexen to all Users.
Acceptance trigger: informational. It is linked from "How it works", the Request Page ("How we pick partners") and the partner pricing page.
1. How Clexen earns
- Customers pay Clexen nothing.
- Partners pay Clexen a Plan Fee (Annual INR 24,000 or 3 years INR 54,000, plus GST) and a one-time Success Fee on Orders they win (Document 05).
- Partners set their own prices and may take Clexen's fees into account when they price.
- Clexen does not add a margin to Quotes.
Nothing is bought, booked or paid on Clexen.
- Clexen introduces you to the right Partner.
- The hire itself is agreed and paid directly between you and the Partner, on your own work order and the Partner's own invoice.
- Clexen never collects, holds or passes on rent, deposits or advances (Document 01, section 3).
2. Who receives your Request
- Only Partners on an active paid Plan receive Requests.
- Among them, Clexen selects Partners using these main factors, roughly in order of importance:
- equipment type and capacity listed;
- distance and service area to the Site;
- stated availability;
- past response time and quote rate;
- Customer ratings and completed Orders;
- compliance record (documents current, no unresolved serious complaints).
- Clexen's team may add or remove Partners for a Request on these grounds.
- Partners cannot pay to be sent more Requests or ranked higher. Requests go to Partners on fit and performance only. If Clexen ever offers plan tiers with earlier access to Requests, it will disclose this here before the change applies. Plan type will never change the order in which Quotes are shown to you.
3. How Quotes are shown
- Quotes are listed by estimated first-month total cost, lowest first. The total is first-month rent plus mobilisation (transport to Site).
- The order is not affected by Plan type or fees.
- Partner names are hidden until you choose. This keeps the comparison on price and terms.
4. What you see about a Partner, and when
| Stage | Shown to the Customer |
|---|---|
| Quote (before Choice) | Partner alias; city of base; Equipment model and year offered; full price and terms |
| On Choice (before the Order is confirmed) | Business name, contact person, mobile, email, business address, GSTIN, and Partner's customer-care contact |
You see the Partner's full details at Choice, before you place any order with them, so you know exactly whom you are dealing with.
5. What Clexen checks
Clexen does not verify Partners, inspect Equipment, test Operators or visit Sites. The Partner details and Equipment details shown come from what each Partner entered in its registration form and Partner App, and the Partner is responsible for their accuracy (Document 04, clause 3). Clexen therefore shows no "verified" label. If Clexen ever starts checks, this section will first say exactly which checks a label means.
Before you rent, ask the Partner for the documents in Document 09, section 2, and check them at handover (Document 07).
6. Network figures
Figures such as the number of partners, cities served and years in operation come from Clexen's records on the date shown. They are reviewed every 6 months (Document 13, section 3).
7. Prices and taxes
- Indicative rates on category pages are a guide from recent Quotes and Partner listings, not an offer.
- Quotes show whether GST is extra.
- Mobilisation, minimum billing and Deposits are shown separately, so the total is not hidden.
8. Grievances and contact
See Document 14. Clexen's name, registered address, CIN, GSTIN, phone and email are in the footer of every page.
